Mitch Brownlee graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas with a BBA in Business and Economics in 1980. He then spent the next three years working for Exxon Company, U.S.A., South Texas Division, leasing over 80,000 acres in South Texas. His Exxon duties included document preparation, landowner negotiations, title work, and special projects. He was an owner, officer and board of directors member of the oldest mineral and royalty company in the United States prior to its sale in 2012. He currently sits as Chairman of the Board of the Coastal Conservation Association, a 120,000 member national organization. He has done land and mineral consulting for numerous companies such as H.E.B. Grocery Company, USAA, Jackson Walker, L.L.P, Golden, Steves, Gordon and Cohen, L.L.P, Burk Royalty Company, Seattle First National Bank (Now Bank of America), Cobra Oil and Gas, Bonray Energy Co., Keahey Exploration Company, Petropool, Inc., Suburban Propane, American Central Gas Companies, Inc., and numerous others. His duties have included all forms of landwork, including but not limited to title work and curative, landowner negotiations, farmouts/farmins, right of way acquisition, and operating agreements. He also conducts prospect screening and acquisition, drilling and completion supervision, production supervision, joint interest billing, revenue distribution, and other administrative duties. He has resided in San Antonio, Texas for 36 years. He has been married to Ann for 35 years, and they two children and three grandchildren.
Mark Brown is Exploration Manager for Trinidad Resources LLC. Mark is a second generation petroleum geologist who grew up in Midland, Texas. He began work in the oil business during high school serving as a geo-tech and a mud-logger. Mark graduated from Baylor University with a BS in geology in 1985. Mark has30 years experience in oil and gas exploration.
Mark began his professional career working for Dallas Exploration (Dallas, Texas) generating drilling prospects in the East Texas Basin. He then co-founded Ventana Exploration where he worked for the next ten years. During this time he opened a second exploration office for Ventana in San Antonio, Texas. Since that time he has held the exploration manager title at three additional companies. He has led exploration progams in north Texas, west Texas, New Mexico, and the Texas gulf coast. While directing these programs he was involved in the design, acquisition, and interpretation of over 350 miles of 3D seismic. Mark also has extensive experience using horizontal drilling and advanced stimulation techniques in conventional and unconventional reservoirs to maximize production.
Mark is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the South Texas Geological Society where he has served as Vice President. He has also served as a board member and past president of the Balcones Energy Library. He is also a member of the San Antonio Petroleum Club where he has served on the board and as past president of the club.
